Beverley Clough BSc (Hons) is a Chiropodist / Podiatrist offering a comprehensive range of treatment in a purpose built clinic

Podiatrists(also known as Chiropodists) assess, diagnose and treat problems of the foot and ankle including routine foot care and the removal or management of painful ingrowing nails, enabling patients of all ages to stay mobile and as independent as possible. Consider if you will, the average adult is thought to walk the equivalent of four times around the earth in a lifetime, it is therefore vital to look after your feet.

On your first visit A full and detailed medical history will be taken followed by a comprehensive treatment including nail care, callus removal and corn treatment. Advice will be given on self care and suitable footwear as necessary.

On subsequent visits, if appropriate, a vascular and neurological assessment (sometimes called a diabetic assessment) will be performed, there is no discomfort with these tests and will take approximately 10 – 15 minutes, the results are instant and will be discussed with the patient. The information will be forwarded to your doctor ensuring the best care possible. These tests reduce the risk of ulceration and amputation and are of particular importance for persons with diabetes(although not exclusively). The tests will be carried out at least annually, more frequently if necessary, monitoring changes. The tests are included in the cost of routine care.
